Mysterious Ways is a horror comedy feature film written and directed by Tyler Eaton. The film is about two youth pastor siblings who accidentally get one of their youth group kids possessed with a demon on Halloween.
One of the most difficult aspects of this project was managing the sheer quantity of shots on an indie budget. Given that every possessed person needed to have glowing yellow eyes we had to create a style and workflow that would allow us to easily distribute the over 120 glowing eye shots across a team of four vfx artists.
With plenty of screen replacements, glowing possessed objects, blood splatter, and even a CG car, this film was such a fun project full of great VFX opportunities. As the first feature film that Liminal House had the pleasure to work on this was an exciting milestone for us.
